Senior Casualty Claims Handler
Birmingham City Centre
Salary: £30,000 to £40,000 + benefits
An opportunity to join an innovative and multi-faceted service provider supporting a broad range of clients within the insurance sector.
You will assume management of a designated portfolio of casualty claims from first notice though to resolution in accordance with regulatory and client requirements.
Cases will focus on Medical Malpractice & Clinical Negligence with some EL/PL, and Professional Indemnity claims.
Assuming full responsibility for the successful management of claims this role will include;
-Collating and reviewing documentation and evidence
-Addressing policy indemnity issues
-Review of medical reports
-Preparing liability, quantum and tactical reports for clients
-Preparing responses to per-action protocols
-Dealing with MOJ portal
-Engaging with solicitors, clinicians and other interested parties
-Collaborating with clients to progress claims and resolve issues
Candidates MUST possess in depth technical knowledge and understanding of UK casualty claims and specifically, clinical negligence / medical malpractice. Knowledge of EL & PL and professional indemnity claims would be ideal but not essential.
The successful candidate must be prepared to take ownership of work, organise and prioritise workflow, communicate professionally with colleagues and external stakeholders, able to adapt and devise innovate solutions to problems.
