SEND Teacher – Independent Preparatory School

Our client is a highly regarded Independent Preparatory School in Central London. The School is co-educational and pupils go onto top London Day Schools, and Boarding Schools across the UK. The School has outstanding facilities, and is proud to specialise in creative subjects including Art, Drama and DT amongst other subjects. Of these facilities, the school is home to Science Labs, a Drama Studio, an Art Studio and its own Gym. In addition to this, classrooms are well equipped with digital learning at the heart of teaching.
From September 2020, our client is looking to appoint two part-time SEND Teachers to join their school. The successful SEND Teachers will work directly with the SENDCo, and closely with teachers throughout the school. The ability to form strong working relationships and work well within a team are therefore essential pre-requisites of the successful SEND Teachers. Our client asks that the SEND Teachers be suitably qualified, ideally with the Level 5 qualification in Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD). SEND Teachers without this qualification, but with relevant experience working as a teacher within an SEN department are also encouraged to apply. The role of SEND Teacher will involve working on a 1:1 and group basis, supporting pupils with SpLD, including EAL. Please note that experience as SEND Teacher is essential.
The salary for the successful SEND Teacher is dependent on experience. Interviews will take place remotely and in line with government guidelines surrounding social distancing.
