Iron Mountain are seeking an Operations Manager to join our team based in Whitehaven. We are looking for an experienced leader that is results driven and can work across multi-disciplinary teams to deliver a wide range of services. The Operations Manager will provide hands-on planning, design, and deployment for Iron Mountain Records Assurance team supporting the clients business needs to transform, develop, and deliver required projects for implementation and on-going delivery of target dates.

Iron Mountain is the industry-leader in Records Management. They provide services that support the Sellafield and Risley contracts including document scanning, transportation, secure storage and document management.

What you will do

  • Manage the teams delivering against multiple projects (from planning through execution) to ensure successful delivery in terms of scope, deliverables, and client satisfaction.

  • Develop project Scopes of Work.

  • Interface with customers to gather requirements. Utilise a consultative approach to develop an estimate addressing client’s business needs.

  • Liaise and collaborate with internal teams, including Account Managers, Service Level Managers and Area Operations Managers, Operations and other key personnel.

  • Perform site visits, if necessary, to assess and evaluate the project in regards to scope, risk and timeline.

  • Create overall project documentation and work with internal departments to execute, while ensuring timely and successful completion of projects.

  • Monitor services scheduled project timelines and update the client and internal team on regular planned calls regarding any changes in scope, particularly as they deviate from original estimate.

  • Utilise problem-solving abilities if changes to the project occur – work through issue resolution to completion, delegating or escalating when necessary.

  • Communicate project completion to the client in a timely manner.

What you will bring

  • Previous experience as an Operations Manager in a shared service, Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) or other KPI lead environment.

  • Knowledge of working to Lean and/ or Prince 2 principals desired.

  • Proven team player with a track record of strong operations management and project coordination.

  • A strong team leader with a record of managing teams in the past.

  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively across several teams/departments.

  • Strong work ethic with an ability to manage workload while efficiently and effectively prioritizing responsibilities to meet deadlines.

  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.

  • Exceptional diligence and attention to detail as well as resourcefulness and quick, practical thinking in a demanding environment.

  • Strong organizational, analytical, and time management skills. This person will need to be resourceful and agile.

  • Excellent presentation skills with both technical and non-technical audiences. Ability to present to large groups.

  • Availability to work from our office in Whitehaven.
