Working on behalf of a Local Authority, Aatom Recruitment has an excellent opportunity for a Housing Solutions Team Manager on a monthly rolling contract with a possibility of an extension.
To understand the challenges and complexities around homelessness today, the impact that homelessness has on families and single people and have a commitment to addressing housing issues and reducing homelessness.
To develop, update and implement clear and effective arrangements for the management of temporary accommodation and procurement of private rented property in order to ensure that the council meets its statutory obligations, provides a high-quality customer centered tenancy support for homeless households living in temporary accommodation.
To oversee the management of temporary accommodation, ensuring that void turnaround times are kept to an absolute minimum and that all homes are in a safe and habitable condition and meet all statutory requirements in respect of fire safety, amenities and health and safety.
Provide advice and assistance to landlords, lettings agents, or property owners, regarding the council’s private sector schemes including the rent deposit scheme.
Responsible for producing and regularly reviewing publicity material associated with the schemes.
To be responsible for increasing the number of properties through negotiations with landlords using incentives where required.
Ensuring targets met by procuring units of accommodation to be used by the Council for discharge of duty, (Assured Short-hold tenancies between landlords and tenants).Key corporate accountabilities:

To participate in one-to-one performance and development reviews/appraisals and contribute to the identification of your own and team development needs.
